EL PASO, Texas —

Fire officials said they arrested a man responsible for setting a car on fire at an apartment complex in the Upper Valley.

Arson investigators arrested Yoshua Yeremiah Yhisreal Wednesday after they said he intentionally set fire to a 2002 Ford Focus Dec. 22, 2012, at the Sandoval Apartments at 5353 Ridge St.

Officials said Yhisreal, 28, attempted to flee, but he was captured after a foot pursuit.

Yhisreal was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest for aggravated kidnapping from June 1, 2012.

Yhisreal was charged with felony arson, and he booked into the El Paso County Jail with bail totaling $100,000.
