NMSU Allegedly Cleared On Charges

New Mexico State University was dismissed as a defendant in the wrongful death case of a fraternity member.

Wednesday a judge said there was nothing to hold the university liable in the death of Steven Judd.

Judd's family filed the lawsuit against the Delta Chi Fraternity and the owners of a Las Cruces bar, after they said their son died of alcohol poisoning.

Judd fell into a coma hours after he was served 10 to 15 drinks on his 21st birthday.

He died the next day.

Judd’s family said they plan on an appeal.
