New Mexico road closures due to winter storm

 The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has issued an alert for the following routes.

 CLOSED:

• I-25 north of Socorro to Truth or Consequences (T or C)
• US-60 Socorro to Magdalena
• US-380 Socorro to Carrizozo

Difficult Driving Conditions:

• NM-90 Lordsburg to Silver City, snow packed with wet and slick roads
• NM-35, NM-15 & NM-152 Silver City area, snow packed and icy with fog in some areas
• US-180 Deming to Silver City, wet with snow and icy conditions
• I-10 Lordsburg to Anthony, NM, wet and slick roadways
• US-70 Las Cruces to White Sands Missile Range, wet with snow over the San Augustine Pass
• I-25 Las Cruces to T or C, wet with snow and icy roadways

Please note that all routes in slick due to rain, snow and icy conditions. Motorists are encouraged to use extreme caution.
