El Paso police are still searching for the driver of a van that collided with a couple riding a speed bike and then fled the scene.
As KFOX reported, the crash occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Castner and Lee Trevino.
Investigators say an 18-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were on the bike when they hit a grey Dodge van traveling southbound on Lee Trevino.
Investigators say the driver of the van then fled the scene.
"At this point, officers also have located the van that was involved, which was just a few blocks here from the scene and of course at this time we are still trying to determine who the driver was of that van at the time of the collision," said Javier Sambrano, with the El Paso Police Department.
The two teens suffered serious injuries and were both transported to Thomason Hospital.
If the driver is found, he or she will be charged with failure to stop and render aid.
