EL PASO,Texas —

A motorcyclist was seriously injured and hospitalized with life threatening injuries after a crash on Montana Avenue early Sunday morning.

Police said Joshua Price, 23, was thrown from his 2006 Suzuki GSXR 750, after colliding with a Jeep Cherokee on the 8200 Block of Montana Ave at around 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Police believe Price was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck the rear of the Cherokee.

The Special Traffic Investigations Unit responded to the crash because of the severity of Price’s injuries.

Investigators said that Price was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Cherokee was not injured.  Police said no charges have been filed yet and the investigation remains ongoing.
