Missing Family Found Unharmed

January 31, 2006 —

We have a follow-up to a story KFOX has been following.

As KFOX reported Las Cruces police were concerned about what happened to a mother and her three children, after they disappeared last week, without telling anyone where they were going.

Police now tell us 33-year-old Carminita Castillo and her kids were found in Albuquerque, unharmed and staying with a relative.

The children's father and Las Cruces police say they were concerned because the mother had repeatedly tried to hurt herself and they feared she'd do it again.

"I'm very happy to know that they're safe I was very concerned about them," said Ernesto Flores, the children's father.

Flores tells us he's looking forward to being reunited with his children.
