A graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, he has a double major in political science and radio television with a minor in journalism and has worked as a print, radio and television journalism.

During two decades of reporting, his work has appeared in many of the nation's top markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston and St. Louis as well as London, England.

He has won numerous awards including: first place "Best Investigative" awards from the Radio Television News Directors Association and Associated Press, first place "Best Spot News" from AP, first place "Best News Writing" from AP as well as several other major awards.

The highlights of his career include covering Presidential conventions from 1992 to the present, several hurricanes from Andrew to Isabel, presidential impeachment and the Pentagon 9/11 attack.
