The Valero gas station on Lee Trevino and Vista Del Sol drives stayed busy all day Thursday and Friday, said manager Eitza Ortiz, who had to bring in extra staff to help with Lotto sales.

Many people tried their luck Friday afternoon before the big drawing at night.

"Four times I had four numbers, but I've never hit the real jackpot," said Ben Amparan of East El Paso.

"You never know, all it takes is one lucky ticket. That's all," said Liz Fisher of Central El Paso. She said she's been playing every Friday since December 2003 when Texas joined the other 11 states participating in the Mega Millions.

The Mega Millions got its start in May 2002.

Overnight the jackpot got bumped up from $325 million to $330 million, due to the high volume of ticket sales across the participating states, said the Texas Lottery Commission.

"We have a customer that comes in and buys about $400 worth," said Ortiz.

"I only play when it hits double digits or more; then my odds are better," said Denise Garvin of Northeast El Paso.

KFOX asked El Pasoans what they would do with $330 million. Garvin said, "Let me see. I'd go see Dr. 90210, pay off all outstanding debts, and help all the friends that have helped me in my time of need."

Amparan, who has own small prizes in the past, said, "I'm 81, so how much more do I have to live? I'd enjoy what I have left, and then my kids can really have a ball."

If no one wins the jackpot, Tuesday's drawing will go up to $425 million.

Friday's winning numbers are 8,18,22,40,44. The Mega Ball is 11 and the Mega Plier is 4.
