Funeral services for an El Paso police officer beaten to death will be held Friday.
Officer Jonathan Molina died October 5, more than a week after he was attacked near his home in Central El Paso.
A mass is scheduled for Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Central El Paso, followed by burial at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
The four-year member of the El Paso Police Department and former Marine will be buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery after a 12:30 p.m. service at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa St.

Street closures
Several streets near St. Patrick Cathedral will be blocked starting at 10 a.m. today for the 12:30 p.m. funeral Mass for Officer Jonathan Molina. Most of the closings will be west of Campbell Street. North Mesa will remain open.Police will also block streets during a funeral procession, which will begin about 1:30 p.m. and will travel east on Rio Grande and Grant avenues, north on Alabama Street and east on Fred Wilson Avenue to Fort Bliss National Cemetery.Complete coverage will be aired on KFOX14 News at Five.
