EL PASO, Texas —

A 19-year-old "Manhunt Monday" fugitive wanted on an aggravated assault charge turned himself in Monday afternoon, police said.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's office, in January, a male victim was lured to a desert area in far east El Paso County when he was violently assaulted by three men. The victim was found at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, Juan Pablo Leyva was identified as a suspect. He was featured on "Manhunt Monday" this week, and he turned himself in to El Paso police, officials said.

Leyva was charged with aggravated assault causing bodily injury, and he was booked into the county jail with bail set at $20,000.
