Man says he shot would-be robber

EL PASO,Texas —
An El Paso man shot an alleged would-be-robber. It happened at a auto salvage yard where he worked near Alameda and Avenue of the Americas. The man told police that the person he shot was part of a group of robbers. The wounded suspect was taken to a nearby hospital. There is no word on his condition.
