EL PASO, Texas —

A man was rushed to the hospital Friday morning after he crashed into a wall, just outside an east El Paso home.

The owner of that home told KFOX 14 this is not the first time something like this has happened there.

"Even though the speed limit is only 35 miles per hour, the cars come rushing through the intersection. Evidently they try to make the turn, but end up in my house," said homeowner Pete Flores.

The driver of the car was loaded into an ambulance by stretcher. He was wearing a neck brace.

The accident happened just after 2 a.m., Friday, near Pebble Hills and Yarbrough, police said.

An eyewitness said he saw everything as it happened.

"I was just driving home and he started swerving and he hit against the wall and I parked my car and I got out to see if he was all right. After he got out (of his car) I called the police," said eyewitness, Pablo Rodriguez .

The driver of the car that crashed into the wall was taken to Del Sol Medical for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
