A Northeast El Paso intersection was cleared after a serious crash left a man with severe head and chest injuries.
The accident happened early Saturday morning at Dyer and Maxwell when a male driver ran a red light, smashing into an SUV.
Police said his car caught fire and crews had to rescue the man from the vehicle.
A female passenger in the SUV was also taken to the hospital.
