EL PASO, Texas —
Around 11:30 p.m. an employee at Mesilla Valley Transportation was hit by a tractor-trailer designed for moving stationary trailers.
Emergency crews took the 46-year-old man to the hospital where he later died.
Police said special transportation investigators were called to the scene because although the accident happened on private property, motor vehicle collision is the division's expertise.
Mesilla Valley Transportaion hasn't commented on the accident. An online forum for truck drivers has recently questioned the safety of the company.
