Man Involved In Deadly Hit & Run Crash Turns Himself In

Police say 19 year old Adam Berg turned himself in at the Westside Regional Command Center just before 9pm Saturday.

Berg now faces charges of manslaughter and not stopping to help render aid after he reportedly hit 51 year old John May while he was jogging Saturday morning.

Investigators say at this point, they don't know if Berg may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

"Since so much time had passed fro the time the collision had occurred to when we made contact with him, it's hard to say, said El Paso Police spokesman Javier Sambrano. There was not any evidence though at the scene indicating alcohol was involved, but it's hard to say for sure."

Berg is now free after posting his $30,000 dollar bond.
