EL PASO, Texas —
Officers have arrested a man driving drunk at 86 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone, according to a spokesman for the El Paso Police Department.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, officers spotted Francis Javier Hughes, 29, driving a black 2005 Honda eastbound on I-10 and stopped him.
Officers determined Hughes was intoxicated, and they placed him under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
Further investigation revealed Hughes had a previous conviction for DWI in 2003 out of El Paso County.
He was charged with his second DWI and booked into the El Paso County Jail. His bond is $750.
