LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

A man accused of molesting his girlfriend's underage daughter is now facing charges for distributing child pornography, according to U.S. Attorney Kenneth Gonzales and Acting Special Agent in Charge Dennis Ulrich II, Homeland Security Investigations.

As KFOX14 previously reported, Anthony Black, 28, is facing charge of criminal sexual penetration of a minor in the first degree, accused of molesting his girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter.

Authorities said the young girl told her father, who lives in Alamogordo, two days after the incident alleged to have happened in early October.

Now, according to federal officials, Black is charged with a criminal complaint which states that he allegedly distributed child pornography in April.

The complaint states that on Wednesday, Black's home was searched by federal officials. The executed warrant said that an Internet Protocol address belonging to the residence was used to distribute child pornography.

A laptop alleged to have been used in the distribution of child porn in April and October was seized from Black's residence.

When KFOX14 interviewed Black and his brother, Nathan Black, Wednesday for the molestation allegation, Nathan Black said he believes his brother is an innocent man caught in someone else's battle.

He said Anthony Black's girlfriend is going through a divorce with her ex, and Nathan Black believes that may be why the little girl made the allegations.

Anthony Black will remain detained pending a preliminary and detention hearing scheduled for Nov. 19.

If convicted on the child pornography charges, Black may face a prison sentence of between five and 20 years.
