Lower Valley Schools On Lockdown

EL PASO, Texas —

Students at four Lower Valley schools were on lockdown after word of a suspicious man with a weapon spread.

Valley View, Mission Valley, Lancaster and Marion Manner were at full lockdown for a while before they went into modified lockdown.

Ysleta Independent School District officials said they didn't find the suspicious person, but some parents became worried.

Maria Delgado said, “We're really worried about our kids because they said there was an armed man near the school and that's why they had a helicopter."

Reporters called the El Paso police spokesman for more information, but their calls were not returned.
