Lower Valley bar fight ends in stabbing, arrest

EL PASO, Texas —

A man was arrested Friday night after stabbing another man outside La Cruda Bar.

The fight broke out around 10 p.m. when an argument between Arturo Villareal and Miguel Acosta turned physical at the lower valley bar at 5038 Alameda, according to El Paso Police.

Police said Villareal started the fight when he pulled out a weapon and left Acosta with stab wounds.

When police arrived at the scene, they said they found Acosta with wounds in his torso, arm and hand.

He was taken to University Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.

Officers found Villareal a short distance away from where the fight happened.

Villarreal was charged with aggravated assault and has two outstanding municipal court warrants.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail with bonds totaling $10,214.
