EL PASO, Texas —
Two Texas Concrete workers are okay after an alleged drunken driver in a red truck clips their utility trucks and hits a power pole, police said.
The crash happened on Alameda Avenue east of Riverside Road after 2 a.m.
The workers were repainting the lanes when the driver of a red truck hit one of their trucks and then crashed into a wooden power pole.
The driver of the truck suffered a cut to the head, and was taken to the hospital, police said.
Police believe the man was speeding and DWI charges are pending.
The impact caused several wires to fall across the road.
Police had to shut down the street until El Paso Utility Workers could fix the lines for more than an hour.
No residents reported being affected by the down power lines
