EL PASO, Texas —

Three men were arrested by El Paso police early Saturday morning in connection to a beer run at a far east El Paso gas station.

Police said Hernando Alvarez, 22, and Ricardo Chavarin Jr., 22, entered the Valero at 2210 Joe Battle near Pebble Hills at around 4:25 a.m., where Alvarez distracted the clerk with a question while Chavarin took the beer. Police said both of them ran out of the store, and got into a getaway car being driven by 21-year-old Christopher Rae Herrera.

Police officers found Herrera's grey 1994 Cadillac Deville after a description of the suspect's vehicle was given, and conducted a traffic stop.

All three were arrested and charged with theft under $50.

Herrera was also charged with DWI.

The three were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
