EL PASO, Texas —

The siblings of the children killed Saturday on a  northeast El Paso street said every family can learn from their tragedy.

The children, ranging in age from 3 to 15, were hit by a car as they walked along Dyer Street. Two children -- 3-year-old Jonathan Macias and 8-year-old Anne Marie Harrelson -- died at the scene. The two other siblings, 11-year-old Guadalupe Macias and 15-year-old Fabian Harrelson, remain in the hospital.

Fourteen-year old Bryan Macias holds on to the best memories he has of his younger siblings, "They were always so alive,  so full of life," he said. Macias added his sister Anne Marie wanted to be a singer and was always dancing and singing."

Older sister 14-year-old Selena Harrelson said she hopes all families can learn something from their tragedy, "Be sure to appreciate your family because once you lose them, you are going to regret it a lot," she said.

"Families will fight but just try to stay united," said Macias.

Family and neighbors said a lot of people walk along Dyer from their homes to go to the bus stop or to stores down the street. They said the street needs reduced speeds and sidewalks to make it safer.

"A lot of people walk on this street. It could have been anyone, not just them," said one friend.
