Shooting at east El Paso apartments follows road rage

By Natalie Tripp and Erica L Rodriguez

EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso police are investigating a case of road rage that lead to a shooting near an east El Paso apartment complex late Tuesday night.

Police  investigators said a 22-year-old male driving a Chevrolet truck was driving on Global Reach and abruptly changed lanes, nearly colliding with a 29-year-old male driving a Hyundai sedan.

They said that's when the driver of the sedan followed the truck to the Vista Village apartment complex, located at 10535 Montwood,  around 9 p.m. trying to ram the truck.

The two drivers got into an argument at the apartment complex where the driver of the sedan threatened to kill the driver of the truck, according to police.

The argument escalated to the point that the driver of the truck pulled out a gun and fired shots at the driver of the sedan.

No one was injured in the shooting.

The investigation is still on going.
