El PASO, Texas —
El Paso County sheriff's deputies arrested a man they said walked out of a store with a can of beer.
They said 42-year-old Salvador Morales, of the 3700 block of Silver Palm, was seen in surveillance camera footage taking a 32-oz. can of beer before walking out of the Country Boy Store at 12496 Montana Ave. in far east El Paso.
Deputies said Morales insisted the beer was bought for him by someone else. After authorities reviewed the surveillance footage, Morales was placed under arrest for theft.
