Punctured diesel tanker causes west El Paso fuel spill

EL PASO, Texas —

A diesel tanker that had a puncture caused a leak in west El Paso Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened in the 6900 block of North Desert.

According to the El Paso Fire Department's twitter account, Dairy Queen and Howdy's gas station employees awere evacuated as the spill was cleaned.

Officials said the fuel was transferred into an empty tanker by Western Refining.

There were no injuries reported.
