Power restored to east El Paso residents after rollover

By Ruben Veloz

EL PASO, Texas —

Hundreds of east El Paso residents have their power restored after a truck hit part of a power pole.

The truck rolled over in a residential neighborhood on Lorenzo Ruiz and Joe Battle.

The truck hit the cable supporting the power line. That caused hundreds of homes to lose power around 3:30 a.m. Monday.

The outage affected homes between Zaragoza and Vista del Sol near Joe Battle Boulevard.

The woman in the crash was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating how she lost control.
