EL PASO, Texas —

Police were called to a home in the area of 14000 Tierra Yamila Drive after a truck crashed into a parked car and into a garage.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Friday, at the Tierra Dorada Estates in far East El Paso.

Neighbors in the area all claim the man is a Border Patrol agent and have seen him wearing a uniform.

“I’ve seen him in his suit. Why aren’t police confirming it -- why did they have all these agents show up, you know, around 9 o’clock and they went in his house and then left, and now he's putting all the wrap on his wife you know,” said one neighbor who did not want to be identified.

Juaquin Cunhs, who lives in the home, tells KFOX14 that he woke up to a loud crash and he saw his neighbor's four-door truck outside his window.

Cuhns also tells KFOX14 that his neighbor is a Border Patrol agent, and was driving silver extended-cab Dodge Ram when he hit the Dodge Caliber parked in the driveway.

The truck suffered minor damage, but the car was a total loss.

After Cuhn noticed the accident, he says his neighbor backed the truck out of his driveway and parked in his driveway and went inside the home.

"I don't know if it's the law that if you do a hit-and-run and you're in your house that you refuse to open the door that you don't have to come outside,” said Cuhn.

Police arrived at the scene, but Cuhn said police couldn't force his neighbor out of his home.

"That's why police left," said Cuhn, "They refused to come out, so they didn't do nothing else."

No one was hurt in the crash.

The home’s property manager came out to investigate and said he was also learning that the man was a Border Patrol agent, yet he was having trouble getting the driver’s information for insurance purposes.

El Paso Police and Border Patrol said that there was no agent involved in this accident.
