LCPD: Man shoots other man after confrontation at ex-girlfriend's house

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

A man was shot early Saturday morning by the ex-boyfriend of a woman.

A spokesperson for Las Cruces police said the suspect-- who is a cab driver-- drove his cab a little after midnight to the home of his ex-girlfriend on the 4000 block of Elks, where she was with another man.

The spokesperson said the couple confronted the cab driver, when the suspect shot the victim in the leg outside of the home. 

The victim was airlifted to an El Paso hospital.

The cab driver was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon.

The names of the involved parties have not been released.

No word on the condition of the victim.
