EPPD: Men arrested after firing shots Downtown

EL PASO, Texas —

Two men were arrested after El Paso police said they saw the suspects firing several rounds into the air, before fleeing the scene.

Police said Gregory Moore, 25, of the 1500 block of Lomaland was seen shooting three rounds into the air from a .45 Taurus handgun on the 100 block of N. Durango, in Downtown El Paso, just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Moore then got into a black 2009 Range Rover driven by  Carllie Paul, 26, of the 1500 block of Lomaland. Police said Moore then fired two more rounds into the air from an open window of the vehicle. 

Paul drove away, and failed to yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk.

The two were stopped a short distance away.

Police found the handgun inside the vehicle.

Moore was arrested and charged with discharging a firearm, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. His bonds totaled $1,500. 

Paul was arrested and charged with failin gto yield the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk. His bond was set at $208.

There were no reported injuries.
