EL PASO, Texas —
A suspected drunken driver in central El Paso crashed into a parked SUV sending a chain reaction and hitting another car, police said.
The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver was sent to a hospital with minor injuries.
The owner of the SUV told KFOX14 he had just brought his car back from a repair shop after another driver rear-ended his car in the same area.
The driver of a red Suburban was driving on a one-way section of Rio Grande Avenue near Saint Vrain Street when he veered off the road and crashed into the back of the SUV.
KFOX 14 arrived at the scene before police officers.
A witness at the scene said the driver tried to start his car after the accident. He also believes the man had been drinking.
Firefighters were taking the man to a nearby hospital.
Police also said the driver appeared to be drunk and will be tested for alcohol.
