As KFOX previously reported, 73-year-old Elias Azar had been in Lebanon for three months for both business and vacation when the conflict with Israel broke out.
His family had been extremely worried for the past few weeks and were grateful to hear he would be returning home.
He returned home Friday and was met by more than a dozen people.
"It's a miracle. Thank God," his daughter, Therese Azar-Chidiac, said.
"I am so excited he's back. It's a real load off our backs now," said Azar's grandson, TJ Haddad.
His supporters said they're relieved to have him back alive, but they worry about the many lives still affected by the conflict in the Middle East.
"What we're seeing on the television is total destruction and continual killing, and this is a senseless reality of life," said the Rev. Victor Kayrouz, of St. Anthony of the Desert.
