City council approves to remodel El Paso Times building

El PASO, Texas —

The El Paso City Council made yet another move, as they make way for the future AAA baseball stadium in Downtown El Paso.

The city council approved the latest in a series of spending packages-- $648,000 will be used, in part, to remodel the El Paso Times building. It is one of three buildings that will hosue city offices, when city hall is demolished.

Renovations to the El Paso Times building have been underway since mid-December of 2012.

The building will house city council chambers.

The work is almost all being done by local contractors.

Work  is scheduled to be done by March of 2013.
