EL PASO, Texas —

The Houchen Center continues to face more problems, after bank accounts were frozen after a disagreement between the board of directors.

KFOX14 has learned employees were supposed to be paid Friday, but paychecks were not issued. Bank accounts remain frozen, and without money, KFOX14 is told kids are not getting fed, and the electricity bill has not been paid.

The center was suddenly closed a few weeks ago, but has since reopened.

"There's a better way to handle this, and freezing accounts across the board is not the way to do it," said attorney Richard Roman.

While some would be upset with a delayed paycheck, some employees told KFOX14 that they don't mind waiting for their paycheck because they would do anything for the center.

They also stepped in with their own money, to buy food for the children this week.
