Layoffs coming for local garment company, pending contract

EL PASO, Texas —

The Excel Manufacturing company plans on laying off about 115 workers at its central El Paso factory, if it can't replace an Air Force clothing contract ending in May, according to our news partner, the El Paso Times. 

Sewing machine operators are the majority of the workforce that could be laid off between April 12 and May 31.
