Las Cruces Boy's Death Not Connected To Swine Flu

LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

The Doña Ana County Sheriffs Department confirmed that the Las Cruces boy who died Tuesday was not caused by the swine flu. Rumors circulated that the boy that had died from swine flu.

University of New Mexico Office of the Medical Investigator confirmed Thursday afternoon.

Doña Ana County Manager Brian Haines issued a statement late Wednesday responding to the rumors. To read that statement, click here.

Out of respect for the grieving family, no further information will be released, said officials.
