Juarez Police: Woman Arrested For Hitting Husband

By Renee Narvaiz

EL PASO, Texas —

A Juarez woman sits behind bars, accused of hitting and hurting her husband because he refused to follow her instructions promptly, according to Juarez authorities.

Police said a man flagged down a police unit to report the incident. Concerned about the victim's welfare, police showed up at the couple's home and that's when they arrested the woman, Tania Esmeralda Mendez Reyes, 27.

According to a Juarez police report, the woman told the officers she beat her husband because he refused to do what she had asked of him. The man filed a complaint against her that said this isn't the first time his wife attacked him.
