Juárez Changes Its Name On Saturday

The state congress of Chihuahua combats Juarez's reputation as one of the murder capitals of the world - by changing the city's name.

On Saturday, Ciudad Juarez will change its name to “Heroica Ciudad Juarez,” meaning the heroic city of Juarez.

Leaders said the change has less to do with the dozens killings there than it does commemorating the 100th anniversary of the battle of Ciudad Juarez during the Mexican Revolution.
