Investigators solve El Paso's first bank robbery of 2013

EL PASO, Texas —

An alleged thief who walked into the Wells Fargo bank in northeast El Paso on Tuesday has been captured, said FBI officials.

Joseph Isaac Ward, 18, walked into the bank on Woodrow Bean Drive and displayed weapon at a teller demanding money, said an FBI official.

Ward was arrested Wednesday evening.

Investigators said Ward is unemployed.

The FBI receive numerous tips from he public after the robbery, which helped their investigation.

Ward will appear before a federal judge Thursday.
