Hot Weather Brings Hottest Technology

Hundreds of El Pasoans were lined up Friday morning -- many of them overnight -- all to get their hands on the new iPhone.

Apple's newest technology combines an iPod, a cell phone and a web browser.

Anthony Guerrero had been waiting in line since Thursday night and said, "In the morning, it was cold with the wind, then hot, then it was raining. Rain or shine, everyone wants to get the phone."

Just as the clouds started breaking up, the doors to the AT&T store opened up sharply at 6 p.m.

Guerrero was one of 10 let into the store.

He was shaking as the phone for which he waited more than six months was handed to him.

With a price tag of $600 plus monthly access fees, Guerrero proudly marched out of the store with his umbrella under his arm and his new iPhone in his hand.

"I just can't believe I am getting it. I have been waiting since January. I just can't wait to walk out with this and show it to the world," Guerrero said.
