Holloman Security Force Trains With FBI

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. —

Members of the 49th Security Forces Squadron had a chance to fine-tune their law enforcement techniques during two days of training with the FBI's Albuquerque division.

Agents from an FBI SWAT team worked with Holloman defenders, practicing close-quarters battle, breaching techniques and ballistic shield work.

Training coordinator Rich Price said to goal was to build partnerships involving the military, local-level law enforcement and the FBI.

Airmen from the 49th SFS Quick Reaction Force at Holloman and off-duty patrolmen were decked out in full protective gear last week as they practiced law enforcement techniques in a large building on the northeast side of the base near Alamogordo.

An operations officer, Lt. Patrick Clark, said the lessons learned will help teams police the base.
