High-Speed Chase Results In Marijuana Arrest

The driver of a Ford tried to flee El Paso County sheriff's deputies making a traffic stop Wednesday morning.

Deputies said he lost control on a dirt road, landing in a 12-foot canal.

All four people in the vehicle were hurt. Police said two of them tried to flee on foot, but were later caught.

Deputies said they found 80 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the car.

Officials said the four men in the car could face drug charges, while the driver may also be charged with evading arrest.
