Hatch Arroyo Breach Affects El Paso Homes

Residents in South Central El Paso were once again dealing with flooding outside of their homes.

The problem is the result of the new breach of the Placitas Arroyo in Hatch.

One intersection was covered in about four inches of water which became deeper further into the street. Water spewed forth from the drainage system from two different pipes.

The arroyo broke last week, creating the same problem in South Central El Paso. On Wednesday, however, no police blocked the street as they did previously.

Many residents are concerned that the water could flow into homes and properties, and many were using sandbags to try and deter the water.
