Funeral announced for girl killed in crosswalk accident

The funeral for Michelle Solis, the 11-year-old who was killed in an accident this week, will be held on Monday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, followed by the burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home.

Solis was killed when she was hit by a truck while she was walking home from school on Tuesday at the intersection of Lee Boulevard and Edgemere.
