EL PASO, Texas —

The driver of a 2006 Nissan Titan told sheriff's deputies that his truck caught fire after he noticed smoke coming from the rear of the truck as he was driving.

He pulled over near Temperance Drive and Ascencion Street in far east El Paso.

Deputies said when they arrived the truck was fully engulfed in flames.

Horizon City firefighters put out the fire.

Investigators determined that cleaning solvent, soaked rags and Wednesday's warm temperatures sparked the blaze.

The driver was not injured, but his truck was destroyed, deputies said.
