EL PASO, Texas —

Emergency crews responded to a serious car accident in central El Paso in which fire crews had to extract victims from the vehicles.

Around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Raynor Street and Missouri Avenue.

Police said a red Kia SUV was traveling east on Missouri Avenue when it failed to yield the right of way to a black Honda traveling north.

Because the driver's side of the Honda was completely crushed, firefighters had to extract the driver.

Firefighters also had to remove a woman from the SUV.

Three people were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
