HATCH, NEW MEXICO —

The FBI and the Hatch police department are looking for two men who robbed a bank Friday afternoon in Hatch.

Authorities said the men robbed the First New Mexico Bank on Franklin Street. The men are described as Hispanic, approximately 5’7 to 5’9 tall, 150-160 pounds and were in their mid-20’s to mid-30’s.

One suspect wore a black-short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a brown baseball cap with a white emblem, and dark shoes. Officials said he used a light colored bandana to cover his face and had a dark handgun.

The other, taller suspect wore a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a black baseball-style cap with a light colored brim, dark shoes, black gloves and carried a black backpack. He concealed his face with a dark bandana.

Witnesses said the two men entered the bank at 2:31 p.m. and drove off in possibly a gray sedan.

A reward of $1,000 may be available for the arrest and conviction of the robbers.

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the FBI at 505-889-1300 (24 hours) or send a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov
