Fake NFL merchandise seized by Feds

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement

EL PASO, Texas —

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents seized nearly $5 million in fake NFL merchandise around the country.

During "Operation Fake Sweep," agents targeted stores, flea markets and street vendors selling counterfeit game-related sportswear throughout the country.

Agents confiscated more than $4.8 million in fake jerseys, t-shirts and jackets.

ICE officials said while most people are focusing on whether the Patriots or the Giants will win on Sunday.

ICE is focused on busting international counterfeiting rings that illegally profit off the Superbowl.
