EPCC hosts event to help fight hunger

EL PASO, TX —

El Paso Community College Student Arts Council and Culinary Arts program are teaming up with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank to present the annual “Empty Bowls El Paso.”

For a $20 donatation, participants will receive a one-of-a-kind bowl to keep created by EPCC art students and community volunteers as well as a variety of premium soups.

This event takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9th at the EPCC Administrative Services Center Building A, 9050 Viscount Blvd.

According to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, one in four children and adults in El Paso are food insecure.

Empty Bowls events are held across the country raising money for local hunger relief organizations.
