El Paso teens connected to 6 westside burglaries

EL PASO, Texas —

Some El Paso teens have been connected to various westside burglaries after they were caught allegedly robbing a Dollar General.


El Paso police said Zachary Zamora, 17; Jaime Zamora and Kevin Venegas, both 18, and a 14-year-old boy were connected to burglaries at the Holguin & Briggs, Pediatric Dentistry, Arby's, Desert Hills Carwash and two Dollar General stores.

The burglaries happened on Oct. 14, Nov. 3 and Nov. 6.

Zachary and Jaime Zamora along with Kevin Venegas were arrested Nov. 7 in connection with the burglary at the Dollar General on Mesa Street. The store was robbed when it was closed, said police.

Investigators charged Zachary with burglary of a building and booked him with bonds totaling $65,000.

Jaime was charged with five additional burglaries and booked on bonds totaling $70,000. Venegas was charged with two additional burglaries.

A 14-year-old who police said was involved in the Dollar General burglary is at the Juvenile Probation Department.

Investigators said they anticipate additional charges.

This investigation is ongoing.
