El Paso military wife to be at SOTU

El Paso Times

While  President Obama delivers his State of the Union address an El Paso military wife will be watching from a seat in the House chamber.

Roxana Delgado wife of Staff Sgt. Victor Medina, was invited to hear the president's speech by U.S Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas.

Medina was serving in Iraq with a Fort Bliss unit when an explosively formed projectile - a particularly powerful type of roadside bomb - blew up next to his vehicle in 2009. Medina suffered a serious brain injury.

Delgado told our news partners, The El Paso Times, she hopes the president will address the care of traumatic brain injury.
